Caleo Collective is a globally diversified group of financial services companies, based in South Africa, supporting clients to align their wealth to purpose. Twelve companies. One flame within.
Caleo Collective (“Caleo”) is a globally diversified financial services group of companies based in South Africa. We provide family office services, wealth management, asset management, direct private equity, venture capital, impact investing and global banking solutions to our client base.
These specialised investment solutions are delivered by individual businesses within the Collective — each led by experts in their field. They deliver for clients in a customised and transparent way. Every client’s interests and needs are assessed through an in-depth process of relationship-building and ongoing conversation.
Over time, Caleo has grown into a dynamic community that takes a holistic approach to wealth, and assists the clients it serves to align their wealth to purpose.
Caleo Collective may also be referred to as the Caleo Group of Companies.

As entrepreneurs, we have a healthy respect for the passion, commitment, and ingenuity it takes to succeed in commerce and life itself. Entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, and musicians — though they may contrast in invocation — all share the same burning desire to create and build something meaningful. This comes from their Caleo, their flame within. We like to think we share our clients’ drive and passion, and take a collaborative approach to wealth management, in order to partner with our clients to achieve their investment goals.
At the core of our community are our clients. We serve them — and we partner with them. Our community extends outward in deliberate layers, each intentional about realising opportunities for collaboration and shared value.
“We partner and collaborate with people to realise their financial objectives in relation to their life. Core to Caleo’s philosophy is a circular relationship with clients, built on shared value. In everything we do, the benefit should always be mutual. Caleo Collective aims to align people, planet, profit, and purpose in service to all its stakeholders.” — Nicholas Liebmann, Co-CEO Caleo Collective

Most wealth managers stop at the balance sheet. We start before it. Caleo’s approach recognises that true wealth takes many forms — and that it unfolds across a lifetime. This is how we do things differently.
Every life holds eight forms of capital. Financial capital is only one. A meaningful wealth strategy attends to all of them — because you do.
We meet clients wherever they are in the journey, and walk alongside them through the stages that follow. Every stage has a purpose, a need, and a specific set of ways we show up.
The spreadsheet is only half the picture. How you think, feel and behave around money drives the outcomes as much as the assets do. We help clients see themselves clearly — and then build wealth in a way that fits who they actually are.
Two people with the same balance sheet can live two completely different lives — one anxious, one free. Wealth EQ is how we make sure the wealth we build actually serves the person who holds it.
“We are different because we take the time to understand our clients, beyond the numbers and into the deeper aspirations for each’s wealth legacy and journey.” — Emmanuel Amaning, Director

Offices, nature, and tables. Three kinds of space Caleo uses to engage with the community.
Caleo’s primary office in Houghton. The businesses that operate here include Caleo Capital, Caleo Private Equity, 518 Portfolio Management, Verum Capital, Secha Capital, and Kalon Venture Partners. The office design incorporates principles of Feng Shui — a philosophy that seeks balance and harmony between elements and their surrounding environment.
Caleo has access to shared office space centrally located in Cape Town.
58 is a retreat just across from NIROX Sculpture Park in the Cradle of Humankind. By creating ecologically restorative spaces and programmes, 58 seeks to enable a more conscious and connected existence. Caleo uses this space for team-building, strategy sessions, curated workshops, client generational planning, wellness programmes, and intimate engagements with clients and community.
An outdoor sculpture park with regularly changing installations by local and international artists, scattered amongst 15 hectares of grassy fields, trees and waterways in the UNESCO-declared Cradle of Humankind. Caleo is a proud sponsor of NIROX’s flagship events.

We believe that all things are connected.
That when people collaborate through a common purpose, an investment journey can transcend traditional boundaries.
It’s a partnership where meaningful connections create opportunities towards aligned outcomes.
